Introspection

The vagrant clouds burst forth
Their salty teardrops
which fell across the meandering valley,
circling through the gloomy meadow
which had drenched itself in the
tantalising touch of treacherous time
that deceptively drank the
ravaging rain like intoxicating wine.

Every drop trickled down,
vanishing into a verdant valley
waiting with expectation.
The flowers blushed in vanity,
The stars twinkling condescendingly
at this idyllic landscape.
Birds fluttering their wings_
danced a merry salsa.

I sauntered in humble introspection,
blissfully promenading the valley
for glimpses of nature’s bounty
lying lulled like a sleeping baby.
Every blade of grass echoed
a message so poignant
that my heart yearned for love,
more rain_ rapturous rain.

I Am

I am the morning mist that touches
your cheeks warm and tender.
I am a rustling leaf that
enchants you with her melody.
I am the gentle wave that caresses
your feet when they’re tired
treading on the path that is stony.
I am the blissful sunshine that
streams into your eyes when
they dream about me.
I am the sunset that lends its
colours crimson and azure
to the pale blue sky.
I am a cascading waterfall that
gushes to satisfy the thirst of the earth.
I am and will always be a dream
that will seek you
in your darkest moments
to renew you with hope and love.

A Cheeky Moonbeam

A cheeky moonbeam glimmered
On my little wooden window.
tapping soundlessly at the glass
But to no avail.
Her heart pounded pitter pat
When the raindrops trickled on her suddenly
Moistening her lustre.
She glanced amorously at the clouds
That covered her
From sinister eyes of the world.
Her transparence drowned by the damp air
That held a misty oriental fragrance.
Soon the white silken drapes
Were drawn apart.
A figure taut and muscular
Inched towards the casement
Her heart was pulsating
So handsome was he!
There was and never would be
Such chemistry.
She tickled his silhouette
Dancing her gaze on his sinewy frame
Edging nearer to the nape of his neck,
Tasting his warmth,
Tightening her grip on his torso
_ a lurking desire gripped her
She wanted to melt into him.
His lips quivered in the caliginosity
As the seductive moonbeam
Enveloped him in her warm embrace.
The idyllic night hid its escapades
As the bejeweled sky winked at her
Billowing clouds loomed upon her
Sighing in fatigue
Dripping all through
The rain kissed night
As the moonbeam bent low
to drench him one last time,
her hopes were shattered..
A sunray crept in
Scorching her love away
Melting her into oblivion.
